Aesthetic tooth restoration
Layer-by-layer restoration with materials in 30+ shades — so the restored tooth can't be told apart from its neighbors, even in bright light. Results in a single visit.
What is aesthetic tooth restoration?
Aesthetic restoration is the cosmetic rebuilding of a tooth with composite materials in several shades, applied in layers. The dentist sculpts the shape of the tooth by hand, matches the color to the neighboring teeth and recreates the natural translucency of enamel.
Unlike a regular filling, it takes into account the color, translucency and texture of the surrounding teeth. No “white square” where the restoration is.
Aesthetic restoration is a good option if:
- A tooth is damaged by decay or chipped in an injury
- There's a gap between your teeth (diastema) that you'd like to close without braces
- A tooth has changed color after root canal treatment or an injury
- You want to adjust the shape or length of a tooth without a crown
Why choose Dent Aura for aesthetic restoration?
We don't just cover a defect — we recreate the tooth. That's why patients from Bocharova St and all over Odesa choose us.
We work with Filtek Supreme Ultra (3M) and Estelite Sigma — materials with natural fluorescence and translucency. The result doesn't yellow or lose its luster for years.
Unlike veneers or crowns, aesthetic restoration doesn't damage the healthy teeth next to it. Minimal intervention, maximum aesthetic effect.
Consultation, shade matching, restoration and final polishing — 60–90 minutes. You leave the clinic with a finished tooth.
Restorations are recorded in your Smile Passport. Check your warranty status on our website — just enter your phone number.
How does aesthetic restoration work at Dent Aura?
Every step comes with an explanation, so you always know what's happening.
The dentist determines the color of your teeth with the Vita shade guide and selects a combination of materials that matches their natural color and translucency. “Before” photos are taken.
If decayed tissue needs to be removed, you get a painless local anesthetic injection. For cosmetic reshaping, anesthesia may not be necessary.
The dentist removes the affected tissue and etches the surface for a strong bond with the material, then applies the adhesive.
The composite is applied in layers of 0.5–2 mm. Each layer is cured with an LED lamp. The dentist shapes the tooth by hand — like a sculptor.
If needed, thin layers in different shades are added to recreate the natural texture and ridges of the enamel. This is where the “artistry” comes in — it's more than just a name.
The finished tooth is polished with progressively finer burs to a natural shine. We check your bite and take “after” photos so you can compare the results.

Frequently asked questions about aesthetic restoration
A filling is a single shade and simply closes a defect. Aesthetic restoration uses a layering technique with several shades and characterization to recreate the look of a natural tooth. The difference is obvious when you smile.
In many cases, yes. If the tooth doesn't need extensive coverage and the enamel is in good condition, aesthetic restoration gives a long-lasting cosmetic result without reshaping the tooth. At your consultation, the dentist will compare both options.
With quality materials and proper care, 5–10 years or longer. Avoid opening bottles with your teeth, biting your nails and chewing on hard objects.
Modern composites are color-stable. Light staining from coffee or tea is easily removed during a preventive Air Flow cleaning every 6 months.
