Tooth restoration
A tooth that's 50–70% destroyed by decay — is it worth saving? Almost always, yes. Tooth restoration brings back its shape, function and appearance even in difficult cases — and it costs several times less and is far less invasive than an implant. At Dent Aura, we restore teeth that other clinics suggest extracting.
What is tooth restoration?
Tooth restoration rebuilds the volume and function of a tooth after significant damage. It differs from a composite filling in scale: here, a large part of the tooth is rebuilt, often after root canal treatment or deep decay. Depending on the case, we use a direct composite restoration, posts (if the tooth needs extra support) or a core build-up under a crown.
Why choose Dent Aura for tooth restoration?
If the root is healthy and the bone is preserved, we always look for a way to restore the tooth. Extraction is a last resort.
When damage is extensive, we place a fiberglass post or rebuild the tooth with a core build-up — this creates a solid foundation for a future crown.
From restoration to crown — everything in one place, with no referrals to other specialists.
Before we start, you know what we'll do, how much it will cost and how long it will take.
How is a tooth restored?
An X-ray examination to assess the root and the surrounding bone.
In case of pulpitis or inflammation, endodontic treatment comes first.
If needed, a fiberglass post is placed to support the restoration.
The material is applied in layers and sculpted.
If a crown is planned, the tooth is prepared after it has been rebuilt.

Frequently asked questions
If more than 80% of the crown is destroyed, the root is cracked or the surrounding bone has significantly resorbed. In all other cases, we try to save the tooth.
Yes — when the work is done properly and you take good care of it, 10–15 years or longer. A restoration under a crown is better protected.
It depends on the condition of the pulp. If it's alive and shows no signs of inflammation, no. If the tooth hurts or there's inflammation, root canal treatment comes first.
Not under anesthesia. Afterward, you may have slight sensitivity for 1–2 days, which is normal.
