About the treatment

How the procedure works
We assess the tooth, the gums and the surrounding bone, and discuss the options: monolithic zirconia or zirconia layered with ceramic.
Root canal treatment or a core build-up if needed. The tooth must be ready for preparation.
We reshape the tooth; zirconia requires removing slightly less tissue than porcelain-fused-to-metal.
Sent to the lab, where the crown is milled from a zirconia block.
Placed for the fabrication period (10–14 days).
We check the fit, translucency, shade and gum level.
The zirconia crown is cemented with a special adhesive cement for maximum retention.
